Does Tea Help You Cope With Stress? Yes.
Does Tea Help You Cope With Stress? Yes.
Whenever Amara is stressed she goes somewhere quiet and is still for a time, letting the feelings of fear and sadness ebb and flow. Then, when she is ready, she counts her blessings one by one. It turns her around, I've seen it. After that she rests some more until she's ready to reface challenges.
I teach her about life and its lessons. And that if stress is tea in a cup, and if the cup spills you are overwhelmed and sick, then it makes sense to put a lid on that cup.
This is managing your life, choosing wisely what you can and can't cope with. This way we keep an open heart and see that we are doing the most we can do whilst remaining in good health. One way I put a lid on my cup is not to watch the news, to talk with those who bring a sense of love into my life. We can make choices to care for the self and still be kind.

Amma she calls out to me, as we step up a fire a bit closer to the beach grass. The beach grass, as I have always thought, is as nature's magic wands, growing where logic might suggest they ought not, yet thriving all the same.
As humans, we may thrive and grow where logic might suggest not. And one day Amara might learn the magic between humans and nature. But for now I will brew her a cup of tea.
