Established in the year 1928 by Late Murlidharji Chokhani when he migrated from Assam in search of work because of drought and British Raj in Rajasthan. He would travel 3 hours daily on foot and plant bushes of tea. It also boasts of a Idol of Lord Shiva (A hindu Mythological god) found amidst the plantation and hence as the name suggests Mahadeobari (Lord Shiva’s Garden). A garden with nearly 75% Clonal Bushes boasts of producing Top Quality Orthodox and CTC Teas. In the year 1989 the first garden to have achieved the Rs 40 Mark in the Guwahati Auction Tea Centre sold by Eastern Tea Brokers.
The garden is IS0 22000, HACCP AND GMP certified and in the process of a ETP.
