The whiff of roasted cocoa and and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee keeps you second guessing if the beverage in your hand is tea at all! A favourite from Japan, the Hojicha Dark Roast Green Tea is the first of its kind in India. Manufactured in Assam, the tea introduced by Chota Tingri group brings the best of Japanese technology and Indian tea together to produce Hojicha Tea in India. This tea is extremely beneficial due to its “no-caffeine” content, and hence is considered a health drink across Japan as well. The reddish brown stalky leaves when brewed give a smooth cup, with roasty notes and a light coffee finish. Indulgence at its best!

f you love the smokey flavor of a good tea, the hojicha should be your next tea. It’s like drinking smoked branches, but trust me, that’s a good thing. The only downside is the tannins leave you a little more thirsty than when you started.

One of my favorite green teas, but definitely a more acquired taste – has a richer, smokier taste, akin to a mild lapsang souchong. Great for cold winter days
